HYPNOSIS
What:
Neuro-Linguistic Psychology (NLP) was developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder as a way to use communication to effectively produce the desired change. NLP uses the thinking process (neuro), words (linguistics), and programming (habits) to help shift negative behaviors into positive ones. The practice was developed as a means for individuals to achieve excellence in both personal and professional endeavors.
When:
NLP can be used to help an individual navigate change, moving from what one does not want, to what they do want. It is particularly effective when one is “stuck” in negative self-talk, emotions, and behaviors, yet wishes to excel in creating positive change. NLP can be used by athletes, artists and professionals who demand the best from and for themselves in the pursuit of excellence. Moving from feelings of self-doubt to confidence allows one to redefine success
and transform potential to actualization.
How:
The client is led to consciously become aware of and often modify the language one uses in their own mind. Clients are guided into self-directed steps to finding solutions to the presenting issue. Through subconscious processing the innate neuroplasticity of the brain is utilized and provides for the redirection of the problem to the most efficient solution. This “rewiring” of the brain towards a self-discovered solution maximizes effective, meaningful and lasting change.
